IT’S NOT FUNNY! You & I know what’s happening, everyone knows that there are cases of Cyberbullying, domestic issues, body shaming & the list goes on, but what are we doing besides only keep forwarding it ard without knowing the truth & some are worse, they are using it as another topic for their chats as talk of the town. Yes, we forward it too but it’s for the reason of creating awareness on the impact not only on the victims but the society as well. All these can cause long-term physical and mental health problems, not just to the victims involved but also to their children, families, and communities. We came up with the Frame of Reference (F.O.R) channel to Create awareness of the rise on the social issues. We hope to be able to provide information by the experts about the impact and solutions of the situation so that the community can work hand in hand to find out ways to handle the problems constructively & in a healthy way. By allowing us to share our stories and communicate with friends, family, and strangers all across the world, the internet has changed forever. It would be impossible for many of us to regress to a pre-wired-in age. Let’s work together to minimize its negative impact on our society!
Mental & Emotional Impact from Cyberbullying
Did you know that Malaysia is ranked second in Asia for the case of cyberbullying in Asia? According to The United Nations Children Fund (UNICEF), three out of ten young Malaysians have been a victim of cyberbullying. Cyberbullying is not something we can take casually as it has led to claim many lives in our country and also around the globe. In the new decade of 2020 itself, we have been shaken up by news of suicide due to cyberbullying. Many would not understand how cyberbullying can damage a victim’s health either mentally or emotionally. Surveys that are conducted worldwide determined that cyberbullied victims are more susceptible to depression, anxiety, phobia, and paranoia. It is said that prevention is better than cure, there are steps that can be taken on a macro down to the micro-level. Many countries around the world have taken an effort to amend the law to tackle cyberbullying which is a noteworthy resolution. Furthermore, parents or teachers should take peer aggression through online medium seriously and take proper measures to ensure their children or student do not fall victim to cyberbullying. Society when faced with any kind of hostility done online should report to the authority to protect everyone from the grasp of cyberbullies.
BE AWARE & ALERT ON PHONE SCAMMING TRICKS!
Another popular move in the book of the digital trickery world, to abuse the unstable mental state of someone in fear. It is either fear of their own life or the life of loved ones. It is even easier to manipulate when the one doing it is hiding behind the screen. The extortion of money is then easily done in this manner. There are steps that we can take to prevent such cases. The first is to STOP and THINK. Try to contact your loved ones to make sure of their whereabouts, then after making sure they are fine, report the number to the authority. Always stay ALERT.
A TRUE STORY OF CYBER-SCAMMING!
Is it possible to get scammed even in the comfort of your own home? Yes, it may happen. Based on a true story, the scammer will call the victim in the pretense of being an employee of the bank, your trusty internet service provider, or perhaps your insurance agent. They will give you instructions to follow and then they start their work. If your guts are telling you something is wrong, most of the time it is so STOP and THINK for a moment. Take back the control, ask questions, call up the official number that is provided by the company or organization. Always stay ALERT.

International Women’s Day ( #iwd2022 ) today reminds us to #breakthebias.
Don’t let stigma and bias shame us all, for we are only human living our lives the best we know-how, although sometimes we fall short of our own expectations.
Let’s stop labeling people. Let’s just listen to understand; otherwise leave them be. No one is responsible to solve everyone’s problems. Just wish people the best.

We raised funds. We’re spending it as pledged.
Last year, in conjunction with #mentalhealth day, Alvin Netto our ambassador broke 2 #worldrecords. 24 hours of kettlebell pendulum swings raised some RM30,000 nett.
We pledged to use the #funds to run activities for the B40 youth. And so we ran the first camp in Rainforest Kulai, Johor last weekend.
16 youth attended. Alvin Netto led the 2-day camp titled “Youth today, leaders tomorrow” and ran a fun filled schedule involving founders, Sangeeta Kaur and 'Aliyah Karen.
While Dr Sangeeta help them build a vision board, Dato Aliyah got them to start journaling, shared traits of good leaders and focused on gratitude.
The youth wrote thank you letters and cards and spent some time reflecting.
It was a tiring fun filled 2 days and we now look forward to the next one in another state. Any recommendations?
